THE GREEK July FOOLISH is nuts as swell from 88.

I prefer the fall 89/spring summer 90's foolish hearts

6/8/90 and 3/19/90 being the best ones

Hey sambonk2;
The RFK-90 Foolish Heart might be my top just because it is an integral part of such a massive 2nd set. The link that dyneq posted really blew me away.

And really the tint of the Dark Star is usually colored by what precedes it. So I am so far thinking the Foolish >Dark Star 7/12/90 at R.F.K is the songs peak moment.
I am pretty impressed with Fall 88 and I am moving forward. I am just listening to the Sunbelt 88 shows. listening to the Foolish Hearts in order. Well, except for listening- viewing 7/12/90 which sets the bar mighty high.
Hard not to get pulled into the really hot shows.
Some other feedback:

I have not gotten to most of these versions from shows recommended for Foolish Heart yet. My own bias is that nothing with just Vince is gong to come close but I sort of remember Hornsby groovin' on a few Foolish Hearts. One of the Garden shows before Europe if memory serves was hot.
Not to many versions to choose in California during 1988-They played one Foolish at the Greeks (cool/1st set opener) in June 88. then /Laguna end of July then nothing until December 88.

yes..that was a great one...was about 20 feet from jer that night ...edie was great too

this version is still a bit too stale...i do remember brent leaving the stage in the intro .....the STAR was very big!

also...for prob the tightest foolish...check out 3/28/90....that my friend is a ground rule double for sure

i would say for post brent foolish hearts..i lean towrards 9/24/91 boston or 3/21/91 cap center

bruce seemed to get in the way quite a bit on this tune, but these are just smoking versions....

also...9/18/90 MGS as well!!

If you like hornsby foolish hearts try the Oakland new years run of 1990. Night 2 I think. Great first set closer. And if you come or the Foolish in this run stay for he playing in the band the next night. Best of the 90' s IMO. Yes better than the cal expo show that gets raves.

Here's a pretty powerful combo that makes for a nice half hour of listening:

Eyes> Foolish Heart from 3/20/91...
